For all at-risk and low level students, I feel that small group instruction is the most effective tool for improvement, and I hope that your action research findings prove true! Great topic and attention to detail! Good luck with your research!
ReplyDeleteWow, very detailed action plan. getting consistent student buy in is the most difficult thing. The students that participate every day are rarely the students that need help. If all else fails, offer after school tutorials with Capri-Suns and chips. Students are children and children can be bribed.
ReplyDeleteI like your action plan. Teaching math last year I know that my students perfumed better working in small groups. It gives them detailed instruction that can be made specifically in the areas they need help in. I would like to know if the small groups help their test scores. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Carson! Small groups are the way to go! If only we were able to teach just a few kids at a time. I'll continue to follow your blog to check out the progress of your project. Good job and good luck!
